Around 1985 two great Orthopedic Surgeons met in Dhaka at a Hospital called RIHD. One of them was Dr Ruhal Haque, a orthpedist trained in UK and back in Bangladesh for a couple of years, the other Dr George W Bagby an eminent surgeon from Spokane, USA. From then on the two doctors formed a strong bond and rapport which culminated in the creation of Nalta Hospital almost 15 years later. This is a story of a bond that these two great men created that spans half way across the globe, from Spokane to Nalta. It is indeed humbling to think that a few people 15000Kms away can make such a difference to a small village,Nalta, near the Sundarbans in Bangladesh.
